DIY Roll a Joint with Rose Petals

Rose petal joints make any occasion feel special. Not only do they add visual elegance to your smoking experience, but because cannabis and rose petals share terpenes, you’ll have a tasty smoke with an even dreamier aroma. Whether you’re smoking alone or with a partner, you’ll love this simple step to elevate your high. 

These joints are easy to make and only require that you have:

• An oven or broiler
• Baking sheet
• Rose of your choice
• Weed

Rose petals and cannabis work together to provide you with a calming and relaxing experience. Rose oil, when tested in a lab, caused a decrease in stress and anxiety. Subjects rated themselves as calmer and more relaxed. Combine this with weed, and you can look forward to a very chill smoke session.

First, grind up your bud. It shouldn’t take much; a small 1g nug will do.

Next, you’ll need to heat your oven/broiler to 450. Overlap 3 petals together and toast for 15-20 seconds.

Now attach each rose petal with a very small drop of water. Licking also works – but be warned – it’s a surprisingly dry tongue-feel! Toast for another 15-20 seconds.

If your rose petals still don’t feel like they’re sticking, toast for 10 more seconds. Your rose petals should now be attached and ready to roll!

Add weed. If you’re a savvy joint roller then the next steps should be quick and easy.

You’ll want to evenly disperse the weed throughout the petals like you would with regular papers. Now, it goes without saying that you’ll need to handle the petals a fair bit in order to roll up the weed, but try your best not to overwork it because these are delicate babies (think biscuit dough). You did it! Once rolled, pop your joint back in the oven for 10-20 more seconds (maybe more). You want the petals to be fairly dry so your joint says lit!
